A: RideMax is Singapore's premier road bicycle rental service, offering high-quality bicycles for both recreational riders and serious cyclists. We provide a wide range of bikes from entry-level to professional-grade road bikes.
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are located at 1 Upper Aljunied Link #05-01, Joo Seng Warehouse, Singapore 367901. Our operating hours are Monday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed on Sundays.
Q: Do I need to make a reservation?
A: Yes, we highly recommend making a reservation in advance to ensure bike availability. You can book online through our website or contact us via WhatsApp.
Rental Process
Q: How do I rent a bike?
A: Simply visit our website, browse our available bikes, select your preferred rental dates, choose any additional accessories, and complete the booking. You can pay online or at our location during pickup.
Q: What do I need to bring for rental?
A: Please bring a valid ID (NRIC, passport, or driving license) and a credit card for the security deposit. International visitors should bring their passport.
Q: What is included with the bike rental?
A: Each rental includes the bicycle, basic safety check, and a quick orientation. Helmets, lights, and other accessories are available for additional rental fees.
Pricing and Payment
Q: How much does it cost to rent a bike?
A: Our rental rates vary depending on the bike model and rental duration. Prices start from S$30 per day for entry-level bikes. Please check our website for current pricing and special package deals.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept credit cards, PayPal, bank transfers, WeChat Pay, and Alipay. For WeChat Pay and Alipay payments, amounts will be converted using the Alipay exchange rate of the day.
Q: Is there a security deposit required?
A: Yes, a security deposit is required for all rentals. The deposit amount varies by bike model and will be fully refunded upon return of the bike in good condition (normal wear and tear excepted).
Safety and Requirements
Q: Do I need to wear a helmet?
A: Yes, helmets are mandatory when riding on Singapore roads as per traffic regulations. We have helmets available for rental if you don't have your own.
Q: Are there any age restrictions?
A: Renters must be at least 18 years old to rent a bike. Minors aged 16-17 can rent with parental consent and supervision.
Q: What are the traffic rules I should know?
A: When riding on roads, helmets and front/rear lights are mandatory. On park connectors (PCN), speed must not exceed 25 km/h. Always follow local traffic laws and ride responsibly.
Bike Maintenance
Q: What if the bike breaks down during my rental?
A: Contact us immediately via WhatsApp. For minor issues like flat tires, we can guide you through basic repairs or arrange assistance. Major mechanical failures are covered by us.
Q: Am I responsible for bike damage?
A: You are responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear. Please inspect the bike thoroughly before rental and report any existing issues. Damage charges vary depending on the severity and component affected.
Tours and Guides
Q: Do you offer guided tours?
A: Yes, we offer guided cycling tours around Singapore's most scenic routes. Our experienced guides Andrew and Wei Xuan can show you the best cycling paths, parks, and attractions.
Q: What routes do you recommend?
A: Popular routes include East Coast Park, Marina Bay, Sentosa, and various park connectors. Our guides can customize routes based on your fitness level and interests.
Cancellation and Returns
Q: Can I cancel my reservation?
A: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled rental date to avoid forfeiture of deposit. A S$50 cancellation fee applies to all cancellations.
Q: What if I return the bike late?
A: Late returns (after noon the next day) incur additional charges of half the daily rental fee for each day of delay. Please contact us if you anticipate being late.
